After You Volunteer
As a volunteer in a research study, the informed consent process does not end once you have agreed and signed an Informed Consent document. Your signature means that you as a volunteer understand the kind of research that is being done.
When you come in for study visits, the research staff:
As a volunteer in a research study, you will be given a telephone number to call with questions you have about the study or in case of medical concerns. This telephone number gives you a way to get your questions answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Remember, at any time, it is your right to tell the research team that you have decided to stop participating in the research study.
