Before You Decide

By becoming a volunteer in a research study, you are placing a great deal of trust in the research team.

Before you decide whether or not to volunteer for the research study, you should think about all of the informed consent information you have been given.

Some things to remember:

• Your participation is voluntary
• The importance of knowing and understanding all of your rights as a research study participant
• To know and understand the purpose of the research study and the risks and benefits involved
